- Geranium
Photosensitivity
Some Essential Oils can increase the skin’s sensitivity to UVA rays and should therefore be avoided if somebody is going to be spending time in the sunlight or on a sunbed, or already has UVA sensitivity or sunburn. See below:

Pregnancy
It’s advised that pregnant women avoid all Essential Oils during the first trimester, after then there are many oils that are safe to use, yet a longer consultation may be required prior to Aromatherapy Massage to take the woman’s full condition into account and determine the safest blend. Certain compounds in some of the oils listed below have been tested to have hormone-like behavior due to the molecular structure and are best avoided all together during pregnancy, all Emmenagogue oils (see Aromatherapy Information), must also not be used as they can try and rebalance the woman’s menstrual cycle.
