FACIAL REFLEXOLOGY

Facial Reflexology works by using gentle facial massage techniques for precise stimulation of reflex points, nerve points and zones on the face and scalp.  As with hand or foot reflexology, there are points on the face that represent areas and systems within the body.

The aim is to help reduce symptoms and effects of many common ailments but also to provide total relaxation, thus encouraging the body and mind to start to heal. The face has a high density of reflex points which are very sensitive to signals sent by the organs and other areas of the body and their response to stimulation is quickly transmitted to the part of the body concerned. The proximity of the face to the brain and cranial nerves is what makes this therapy so effective.

Hi, my name is Alex and I am really excited to be working from the YOU Massage & Therapy Centre. I specialise in Reflexology, also offering Indian Head Massage and Reiki and my aim as a therapist is to tailor your treatments to meet your individual needs to help improve your well-being. My personal journey started many years ago when certain unexplained, and at times debilitating ailments, led me to look at therapies that could complement medical diagnoses, not just for myself, but also for certain members of my family.

 

After much researching, I came across reflexology and was amazed that by applying pressure to places on the feet, it could alter some of the imbalances that our bodies were showing. I was so amazed by it that I decided to train as a reflexologist so I could help others and I haven’t looked back since.
