Myo-fascial Massage (MFR)

Looking for Myofascial Release in Southampton?

Myo-fascial Massage (MFR)

Do you feel tense all over? More one side than another? Do you long for more flexibility? Have you been frustrated before that standard Massage practice doesn’t seem to get you the full result? If the answer is yes, bok a Deep Tissue Massage and ask for a therapist who has training in  Myofascial Release Massage

At the forefront of industry undertanding, many of the YOU Massage Therapists have had speciality training in techniques designed to release the bows and strings that hold us tense.

By following the ‘anatomy trains’, think bands of connective tissue that loop around the body, our specially trained Southampton Myo-fascial therapists will release the source of tension, creating loose connective tissue where the fibres were tight and stretching the fibres to give us a more flexible and released posture!

How it Works

Deep Tissue Massage works by slowly penetrating the layers of muscle tissue, to reach and relieve Deep Muscular Tension. Myo-fascial Release Massage goes further, by initially assessing the posture to find tight spots and loose spots and then manipulating the fascia, which is a connective tissue that binds us. By doing this, we free the tension from the dermal (skin) layer and deeper (muscle and organ) layer, which means everything can sit correctly and relax. There’s a lot more to it than that, if you want to know more, click on the Blog link at the top right of this page and read some of latest entries!
