Our Southampton Yoga Studio welcomes intimate classes of up to 8 people with dedicated teachers to develop your Strength, Alignment, Flexibility, Balance and ability to regulate Stress, Pain and Restriction.
About your YOU Massage & Therapy teachers...
Your teacher Émilie, You Massage & Therapy Centre Manager, Massage therapist, Health coach, Gym instructor, and passionate Yoga teacher.
Émilie started to develop a strong daily yoga practise years ago, and noticed how much her daily self-practice, bundles with the weekly class she was attending, worked miracles on her tights legs and back pain, and how healthy were the older students who had been practising for many years. She has always loved all types of physical exercise, and been interested in keeping her physical and mental health balanced through a healthy lifestyle. The benefits she felt from the meditation, the breathwork and the yoga poses convinced her that Yoga is a truly amazing practice, that should accessible to everyone.
Émilie is a Yoga teacher certified by Yoga Alliance. She is curious about learning more and more styles of yoga or bodyweight exercises, as well as mindfulness practices, that can help herself and others feeling more balanced in their life, and can be combined together to deliver the most beneficial classes. She is also part of the Southampton Yoga Association.
Jimmie is qualified to teach vinyasa, hatha and yin yoga. He enjoys powerful, dynamic hatha flows, and emphasises careful sequencing with breath to create mindful, centred practices.
Jimmie started to see the deeper benefits of yoga during lock down, reevaluating his life and connecting more deeply with what brings him joy. This precipitated big changes for him – he is a qualified doctor, and after a short career in the NHS retrained and taught physics for 7 years, before leaving teaching and studying yoga. “Whilst neither profession afforded me much serenity, I am very grateful for how my teaching experience, paired with medical and anatomical knowledge, inform my yoga practices.
“For me, yoga is much more than the gymnastic exercise of building strength and flexibility through asana. The meditative focus of finding alert stability and relaxed ease in your physical body – in the moment, as well as cultivating humility and acceptance for your own limitations, are powerful transferable tools which can transform the way we approach our lives.
Having studied the yoga sutras of Patanjali, I’ve found that aspiring to adhere to the guiding principles therein expands and deepens the spiritual toolkit developed by asana practice. For me it’s helped create a marked change on my ability to accept life on life’s terms, with gratitude for the lessons, as well as the joys.

Our Younity teachers’ Gentle Yoga to Dynamic flow style combines some Breath work and Traditional Yoga poses, into a mix of Vinyasa sequencing, Hatha yoga, Viniyoga, @Yogilates, with some Core work, to assure your whole body moves with ease and gains a strong and healthy posture. They will introduce you to raise your body movement awareness and enhance your respiratory capacity. For everyone wanting to get the most out of their Southampton Yoga Class, designed for YOU to become healthy and strong.
