Our Urban Mini Yoga Retreats are a burgeoning event here at our Younity Southampton Yoga studio.
Taking place on the 3rd weekend of each month, we offer the opportunity to experience different and varied practices for people’s body and mind from different passionate holistic practitioners.
For the November retreat we have two experienced yoga facilitators, Jimmie’s & Amy, who will guiding the afternoon between 2:30pm and 5:45pm, guiding you in this gentle Yoga afternoon to create awareness of the layers of tension and spaciousness in your body, a Retreat we are calling :
The Mindful Yoga Retreat Afternoon – 17th November 2024
Amy, who is the company owner, will start the afternoon with some guided Alignment practices, combining Self Massage, Myofascial release and Somatic Nervous System Release, in a mix of movements similar to Pilates & Yoga and Meditation.
Following on smoothly with Jimmie and his session, introducing the ‘layers of consciousness’ (Kosha), with a step by step slow yoga flow, it will bring awareness to each of these layers through careful signposting and specific movements, followed by some longer stretches in a Yin yoga style.
To conclude, you will be guided through simple mantra meditation work and connection to your vagus nerve and parasympathetic system, building awareness of how to access more subtle awareness) to conclude this beautiful afternoon with a restorative yoga nidra practice.
YOU will feel a deeper connection to your body, having cleared through any tension build up, going home feel8iing reset and with some wonderful practices to utilise in the future.
